Week 7 Karnaugh maps

00:48 / 1:05:31

Gray code order00:48

Rows and columns follow Gray code (00, 01, 11, 10), so neighbouring cells differ in one bit and the edges wrap around.

Transcript

  • 00:48Notice the columns go 00, 01, 11, 10. Not binary order.
  • 01:02Each step changes exactly one bit. That's Gray code.
  • 01:12So the leftmost and rightmost columns are neighbours too.
  • 01:20If you write 00, 01, 10, 11 on the exam, your groups will be wrong.

How it works

  • 01Paste the linkPaste a YouTube link into the box on the dashboard home. youtu.be and Shorts links work, in a phone browser too.
  • 02Transcript and summaryPublic videos are transcribed on our server without playing them, usually in a few minutes. You can close the tab after it starts.
  • 03Back to the momentTap a transcript line and the video plays from there. Review with concepts, quizzes and a mind map, and ask questions answered from the video.
